- Steer
- Arrow keys or WASD · swipe · on-screen pad · gamepad
- Pause
- Space, P or Esc. Leaving the tab pauses too.
- Combos
- Eat again within 2 seconds to score ×2, then ×3, up to ×4. Not in Zen.
- Special food
- Sometimes appears for 8 seconds, ringed by a timer. Bonus egg: +50 · Hourglass: slower for 6 s · Arrows: 3 segments shorter · Ghost: pass through yourself for 5 s.
- Modes
- Classic speeds up as you grow. Zen wraps around the edges and never rushes you. Daily is the same map for every player and resets at midnight UTC. Maze has 20 levels: clear one to unlock the next.
- Challenge a friend
- After a Classic, Daily or Maze run, send the link. Their device replays your run to check the score, then they race your ghost on the same map. Older Daily links still work and show their date.
- Skins
- Each one is a real snake’s pattern: Banded krait, Black mamba, Black-necked spitting cobra and 54 more. Pick one here or from its species page.
